Your health expert will regularly review your progress and is always available (Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.30pm (excluding public holidays)) to discuss your programme and how to achieve more with Imperative.

Activity Monitor

Activity Monitor

Designed to be comfortably worn all day every day on your wrist, arm, ankle or even in your pocket. Activity data uploads via your computer to your online account via wireless by tapping the monitor – no wires or fuss.

Smart Scales

Smart Scales

Every time you record your weight the results are transmitted to your activity band and then to the online account. Your weight is recorded this way throughout the course of your programme and helps inform the advice you receive as you progress.

Servicelink Software

Servicelink Software

The Servicelink software connects your Activity Monitor to your personal online coaching account. Minimum system requirements:
• PC: Pentium 1.2Ghz running Windows XP SP2, Vista or Windows 7
• Mac: A Mac 1.2Ghz or higher running OSX V10.4 or higher

Your mobile phone

Your mobile phone can simply and easily become part of Imperative. The instructions in the pack show you how to send calorie intake to Imperative via SMS.

You can also use your mobile phone to receive reminders and fun daily challenges.

The Imperative online coach is the most advanced of its kind in the world. It is the product of a multimillion pound investment in bringing together best practice in nutrition, exercise and motivation into an adaptive learning system that tailors and manages your programme day-to-day.

Highlights;

Health Achievement Score

Imperative can articulate your progress in a single number: the Health Achievement Score.  Based on your age, sex and health status it establishes an achievable ideal – your personal 100 out of 100 - and tells you, lifestyle factor by lifestyle factor, how close you are to it.

   

Programme Start & Review

Having first completed a comprehensive health questionnaire, you will be guided through the set-up of your programme. This includes receiving feedback on key health risks, recommended lifestyle changes and targets for the first 12-week phase of your programme.

At the end of each 12-week phase, you will be given an overview of progress
to date and receive new recommendations, targets and programme details for the following 12-week phase.

   

Weekly Coaching Session

A short coaching session happens at the start of every week - you receive feedback on progress and personal targets may be adapted to reflect progress.

If there appears to be a problem in reaching targets, the system will offer suggestions on how to overcome them.
   

Progress Charts

Physical activity can be tracked by not just by minutes, hours, days, and weeks but by intensity too.  Your chart is designed to help you understand better what activity is having the greatest effect.

You can chart your weight trend. Be warned, it can become addictive (in a good way).

   

Health Status Tracker

An opportunity to enter such key numbers as blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol in a diary-like format and then view historic charts of progress. 

   

Reminders

Set your own txt and/or email reminders to reinforce lifestyle commitments - from getting your gym kit ready, to completing the food diary, to having your blood pressure checked.

   
   

Community

The Imperative interactive forum is available for individual posts and discussion themes to share your progress and experiences or discuss challenges with the Imperative community.

   

Activity Planner

The planner is there to help you set realistic activity targets based on your goals and health status.  It helps you schedule favourite activities and assesses the quality of your plan.  The plan can also downloaded to an Outlook-style calendar.

   

Nutrition Coach

This tool helps you to achieve nutrition goals, based on information gathered from the nutrition profiler (below) and your personal nutrition targets (e.g. reduce cholesterol etc).

The nutrition coach will help you to identify key habits to work on (e.g. reduce red meat, reduce salt intake etc) and recommendations on how to succeed.

   

Nutritional Profiler

This tool analyses your diet and eating behaviour and informs the meal planner and nutrition coach allowing them to make most appropriate recommendations. The nutritional profiler is reviewed at the start of each new 12-week phase to evaluate progress and update priorities and recommendations for the next coaching period.

   

Meal Planner

This tool takes your health goal (e.g. reducing blood pressure or managing diabetes), nutrition profile, diet and nutrition targets and other relevant information (e.g. food preferences etc) to help you produce the optimum meal plan.

If you either need a fully prescriptive plan or do not wish to create a plan for yourself, the system provides a full repertoire of recommended meals, divided by day (Mon-Sun) and meal type (e.g. breakfast, dinner, snacks), and tailored to your preferences.

   

Meal Plan Assessor

If you prefer to create your own meal plans or are modifying a prescribed meal plan, the meal plan assessor tool makes sure your chosen plan is consistent with your stated targets and health needs.
